Blogging seems to be becoming more and more popular amongst the "wedding crowd" but their are still so many professionals out there that DON’T have one….Hey guys - get with the times. We like to read them just as much as YOU do…especially when it comes to weddings. But of course, we LOVE anything weddings! I was telling a bride the other day that whenever we are ANYWHERE we think about it in terms of a wedding. As in, "Wow, this would be a cool spot for a wedding", "That would be a great idea for a Wedding", "We should try to find these for a wedding!" - you get my drift. Anyway, this week, here is a fun "wedding related" blog you girls can visit. Some of the content is good…some not so good. We actually like wedalert for all of the "music" suggestions they have from ceremony to reception with online music samples. We send a lot of our brides here to pick out their songs, if they dont want us to do it for them. Take a look!

We dream of the days when we ask a Bride/Groom what their budget is and they say simply "We Don’t Have One"! YIPEEEE!!! That would be a fun one to plan!! Anyway, we ALWAYS know there is a budget. But, if there weren’t or if it ranged between $1 - $2 mill…then we could call our friends at My Star Entertainment and hire LeAnn Rimes to sing "How do I live without you" for the 1st dance or Stevie Wonder to sing "Isn’t she lovely" while your dad swings you across the room for everyone to see. Anyway, obviously this crazy idea comes with an even crazier price tag….But, WHEN…not IF, we get our "no budget" bride, we know who to call. The guys at My Star Entertainment. Anyone watch "My Super Sweet Sixteen" - they do it all the time! I better start saving for my daughter’s wedding…or Sweet Sixteen???

You are going to LOVE this!!! Here are our 2 favorite links this week.
First is a company called Wonderful Graffiti. This is a company that can transpose words, sayings, lyrics, monograms, pictures, designs…you name it to Vinyl so that it can be stuck onto a blank wall or canvas. Just imagine a beautiful fireplace with blank space above it and it writes out the favorite lyrics to a love song you share together…BEAUTIFUL! Check them out at:

Also, we girls LOVE our diamonds, and pearls and gold - Oh My! Anyway, some of us can’t afford the real thing but want to feel like a celeb on the red carpet for our wedding day…That is where "Bag, Borrow or Steal" comes in. A website that will allow you to "rent" gorgeous celeb worthy jewels to wear on your wedding day. Think Chandelier Style Drop Diamond Earrings…for like $200/week. Not bad to feel like Sharon Stone for a day. Anyway, check it out at:

Let’s give Kudos to our friends at Sunset Limousine. Not only are they EXTREMELY reliable and dependable but they offer a fabulous fleet of vehicles from Hummers, Cadi’s and Escalade’s to AMAZING Limo buses. In fact, for our June 9th wedding - Robin and Steve - they offered them a Complimentary Upgrade from a 16 passenger limo to a 25 passenger brand new white limo bus stocked with a full bar and champagne…all complimentary. Why did they do this? Because we are very loyal and book so much business with them! Just another advantage to hiring a wedding planner ladies. Anyway, check them out at:

This week, we want to point to one of our "new friend" in the Photography world, Picture the Day. Teddi Maull and her husband Keith are one of the many "marrieds" getting into Photographer together. Rarely do we meet a husband or wife photographer "solo" without being a "team". How fun! Imagine shooting a wedding in Maui and having to bring your "assistant" with you that just happens to be your hubby or sweetie! We have tried to get our husbands to help us with the planning of our weddings but frankly, they would rather eat DIRT! Anyway, I digress. Teddi has been shooting for a few years now and does a fabulous job!!! She took some amazing shots at our Luau themed wedding on June 9th. You should check out their work and their blog at:

As signature drinks and creative hors d’oeuvres continue to swarm our events, we try to figure out ways to put a "spin" on old things…making them new again. So, try this one on for size (no pun intended) Have your servers at your wedding wear fun t-shirts during the cocktail hour that explain what they are "serving". Lobster Mac-n-Cheese in a shot glass, Demitasse Spoons with Ahi Tuna, a Caipriani Cocktail or Lechee Martini. Your guests may want to know what’s in them? Have the servers wear a t-shirt that says "Lechee Martini" with the ingredients listed right on the shirt. How fun is that? A great conversation starter amongst crowds and gets the servers a little attention too!
This week, we have noticed that we have spent too much time buying things for our bride’s from Saro. What a great site! They sell wholesale items so bride’s can’t "buy" from them, but you can certainly look around. They have great handmade linens, table runners, and table accents for even better prices. We love the look of beaded runners down our feasting tables (see Amber and Brandon’s Photo Album) and love how we can add small but fabulous touches to our events with their products. And the Price is Right!

We also love The Candy Warehouse. In fact, I have about 50 lbs of candy sitting in my hall closet as we speak! They are easy to work with, VERY prompt, and ship everything with cold packs so nothing melts in the Florida or Colorado Heat. Check them out! You will gain 5 lbs just searching the site.

Lanterns seem to be back on the sign - with LED lights. Of course, did they ever leave? Anyway, you can’t beat Asian Ideas for your lantern or "Asian" flare ideas. Check them out!

Whew - our heads aer spinning as we continue to try and keep our heads above water. With 30 weddings between now and the fall, that can be hard to do sometimes. Good thing we LOVE what we do. And many of the vendors we work with do too! And it shows.
This week, we want to recognize Irene Caban from Breezin Entertainment. She is so fabulous at always getting us the best musicians for our ceremonies and receptions and recently was able to find us a replacement soloist that backed out of one of our weddings 10 days before hand. Irene to the rescue. She put someone else in place that was even better! Thank you so much. We love working with people like you.

Aloha! Mahalo! We learned all kinds of fun Hawaiian expressions this weekend at Robin & Steve’s wedding. Why the "theme" you ask? Well, because they got engaged in Hawaii so it has very special meaning to them. Anyway, the ceremony took place outside in front of a beautiful stone gazebo at 7pm…which is actually considered the most formal time to get married. Anyway, the sun was setting and the weather was beautiful. The colors were Tiffany Blue and Pink, a popular summer color combo, and this Bride & Groom had a more limited budget then we are used to dealing with. But, we found some creative ways to try and stretch their dollar to make things fun and festive without breaking the bank. We used drink umbrellas in the place cards, pineapple’s and kiwi’s in all the floral arrangements, had festive cocktails and Hawaiian style music, an amazing cake resembling a scene on a Hawaiian island, tons of candlelight, parasols scattered throughout the room, and festive Island style fare. The fabulous Paige Eden was the photographer and we had the privelage of working with some new vendors and some of our old favorites! The bride wore an incredible custom made Anne Barge dress that was worth every penny of her $6,000.00 The couple was extremely happy with the way things turned out as they jetted off to Aruba the next day for a week filled with more Island fare, cocktails, and music!
We love blogging! And obviously many of you love reading them. Currently, we have 85 people visiting our blog a day…sorry I only update weekly! Hopefully, someday, we can find the time to do it daily. Anyway, we love sharing information with our fellow blog followers and hope that you have fun reading our entrys. It is somewhat of comic relief for us at times. Other times serious. Anyway, we like to recognize a few of our favorite photographer blogs! They are so much to follow! You should check them out to. (*You might even see a photo or two of us floating around on there??) Anyway, check these out…some of our faves! And not to mention - FABULOUS photographers! And they have GREAT taste in music! Tell em’ the Table 6 girls sent ya’!
