We LOVE doing styled shoots, however, they are a lot of work and quite expensive to do right. However, they are a necessary evil in our industry for many reasons. For some vendors, like photo and video, it is about shooting at a Luxury Wedding Venue that they have always wanted to work in. But for others, like us, it is about flexing our design muscles. Styled shoots allow creatives (floral, decor, stationer, tabletop) to showcase an idea, a color palette, a vision, that might not necessarily resonate with a client’s wedding. But, it allows us to try new things, take risks, be brave and showcase to the world what we can do! For the venue, it is about the potential exposure on Social Media and additional reach they can get from a styled shoot. Planning luxury weddings with attention to design is where we all thrive!

For this Luxury Ranch Wedding styled shoot, all we knew was that we wanted it at The Exclusive Brush Creek Ranch located in Saratoga, Wyoming, a town of 1,700 people. But don’t let that scare you, this Ranch is far from feeling remote or unrefined. Saratoga, Wyoming is 4 hours from Denver and the town also has its own airport, so it is quite easy to get to. For the discerning client with an extremely healthy wedding budget who dreams of a luxury ranch wedding, look no further. From the exquisite cuisine offerings to the mind blowing wine cellar, this Ranch gives you all the luxuries you would expect from a 5 start hotel and more. They offer over 80 activities that you and your guests can partake in twice a day. They will even outfit you if you don’t have the proper gear. From guided flying fishing to horse back riding to a distillery tour or wine tasting, Brush Creek Ranch has thought of absolutely everything! As a Colorado Wedding Planner who specializes in Luxury Weddings and Destination Weddings, Brush Creek Ranch is always on our “Top 10 best venues in the United States” to get married list! Although we are mostly known for our Destination Weddings or being a Luxury Aspen Wedding Planner, Wyoming has stolen our hearts, particularly this Ranch.

After finding our venue for the shoot, we discovered upon this burnt orange suit and knew we had to have it. Our entire visual concept was built around THIS suit! The way we approach styled shoots is almost from a place of impracticality. We want to make it slightly unrealistic in a way, whether it is in the design elements or the weather elements. We pushed everyone’s bounds and comfort levels this weekend. We always joke that our approach to design is to make our clients slightly uncomfortable with what we are proposing. (No copying Pinterest or Instagram over here!) We even flew a drone inside to get the PERFECT overhead shot. The team that delivered this Luxury Ranch Wedding experience was an unbelievable collaboration of fun, creative, caring professionals who pay close attention to detail. We could not be happier with how this turned out. In addition, the couple who modeled for us is actually not only a past client of ours, but the groom is also a professional model. They are well known on Tik Tok as the #agegapcouple. But their real names are Emily Stomatuk and The Michael Justin on Tik Tok (also make sure to check out their Instagrams).
