Staci and Pat met at an advertising agency and clicked immediately. They are both creative, fun, whimsical people and working with them on their Keystone Colorado wedding at Timber Ridge was so easy and seamless. This wedding will always be very memorable to us because this is the first wedding we were asked if we would do the flowers. Although we had not done this before, we figured that after 11 years of planning events, we should be able to take on this task. The bride was SO impressed with what we were able to put together for her. And we had a blast doing it. Not to mention, now we have added a new skill to our bag of tricks.
Everything turned out beautifully for this wedding and we enjoyed working with many new vendors, especially Cake Knife Photography. Marla is an absolute blast. And she had her work cut out for her that day as Colorado weather can turn on a dime, and it did! At one point, half the guests had made it up the gondola to the venue, but the other half (and the bride and groom) had not, when the gondola was shut down due to lightening. (the gondola is the only way to get to the venue might I add) As a wedding planner, weather is definitely something we always prepare for, but can’t always fix. Something like this couldn’t have happened to a better couple as they embraced the issue, and went to a local bar in Keystone with their guests and waited the weather out (and enjoyed a few drinks together). Eventually, everyone made it up to the top, and the show went on!
When the bride was asked, what is one thing you would suggest to future bride’s? Her answer was: HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER. This made our day! And we were glad to be a part of their big day.
