Real Wedding: Tasha and Scott

Tasha and Scott wanted a vintage garden party for their reception the only problem with this is that they wanted to get married in August, which in Atlanta, is Hot! Hot! Hot!  We decided on a location where they could have the ceremony in a garden and a reception with tons of vintage touches…indoors! The Atlanta History Center fit this vision to a tee. As a little girl Tasha always envisioned her wedding in various shades of pink but as a little girl she didn’t plan on how her groom would feel about this so we toned down the pink with white overlays on the tables.  Although we traded in some of the pink for white we didn’t just settle on plain white but instead each linen had a different pattern with sparkling embellishments!

Scott was also very close to his grandmother who passed away prior to his engagement to Tasha.  Scott wanted to honor his grandmother so we asked him to tell us things that made him think of his grandmother.  Scott instantly answered homemade ice cream and pearls.  To honor her there were touches of both.  Each centerpiece has small strands of pearls looped throughout the arrangement.  Later in the evening guests got to make ice cream sundaes and homemade ice cream was made on site in vintage ice cream makers! This was soo cute and our favorite detail of the day! Enjoy!

Special thanks to Janet Howard Studio for capturing this gorgeous wedding for us!
