Our Crazy Idea - Week of 10/29/07
posted by table6 in UncategorizedSo, this may not be so much crazy as it is straying away from the norm…and totally changing the "chemistry" of a wedding. But, we got to thinking. Wouldnt it be cool and different to arrive to a wedding at the pre-determined time only to be met by servers with fun food fare and yummy cocktail libations. Get it - you have the cocktail party BEFORE the ceremony! This is GREAT for a couple that sees each other BEFORE the wedding.
While you are off photoging yourselves to death, your guests can be enjoying some nibbles and a champagne cocktail or three. Then, the ceremony starts a half hour or so after the "initial’ WELCOME cocktail party. Think how much more interesting your ceremony will seem after a few drinks…no late guests, no empty stomachs, no shakes (because you need a drink). Then, after the ceremony, you can take a few more photos, then have another 30 - 45 minutes to greet your guests and thank them for coming while they enjoy a few tunes and a glass of wine. Then off to DINNER and DANCING….It’s called "Let’s get this party started"….
We hope to try this sometime and see how it flows…we will let you know!
